In Freya's lesson we were discussing what we thought would be going into the report that we have to write and what we would have to do. The picture to the right is the list that we had to create of what we needed to do. 14/2/13
Today in Freya's lesson we were doing about manipulation, pictorialism and post-production. We were thinking about different types of manipulation that can be done to an image. we came up with: lighting, filters, angles, clothes, cropping, photoshop (the well known photo of Ebony and Ivory) propaganda, racism, make-up, captions, paparazzi.

Today in Freya's lesson we were doing about justification, truthful and appropriation. Nothing is ever your own, everything is a remix. Honda, The Cog had been inspired by Fischli & Weiss's The Way Things Go. Appropriation: copying, reusing, cropping, combining, recycling, sampling transforming. Today in Freya's lesson we made our own poster poems using words that we cut out of a newspaper. we had to cut words out and mix them up and then just put 5 words next to each other without looking and we had to make 10 lines. This is how some artist made their poems.

In Freya's lesson today we were doing about staging, documentaries and pictorialism. we were discussing whether or not we thought that staging is a good or bad thing when you are making a documentary or in any other situation. Staged Photography "photos that capture staged or artificially constructed scenes made only for the purpose of the photograph". Gregory Crewdson - Brief Encounters. we also discussed why would you want to stage you photograph, we came up with; to create a better image, create memories, create reaction, have an idea about something and to portray thoughts.we also had some images to look at that we had to decide if they were staged or not.

Today in Freya's lesson we learnt how to Harvard reference for when we use quotes in the essay that we have been building up to write and we were also given a sheet to help us plan out our essay, what we need to put in each paragraph and how to set the layout out.
